This project critiques this macro-scale proposal by Arup, and suggests that connectivity between the stations should allow the visitor, and the user, to engage with the city at a closer scale – a micro-scale – providing a mechanism for people to engage with Somers Town.My proposal is to build a connection that can let people make contact with the urban grain and occupation of Somers Town - to come into close contact with the city as it really is.
This connection takes as its starting point the idea of the sky-bridge, an expedient device for people who would like to across Somers town. However in reconsideration, the connections will equally save the local resident, local business and something valuable conservation in Somers town, linking housing estate and providing additional community facilities.
In order to research more detail, I chose the role of mico-urbanist or Accurate-urbanist for investigation and local observation, and also using different sub-role to support this project. For instance, there are urban designer, consulter, mix media maker, researcher, observer, interior designer, Architect, cooperator, builder. Those sub-roles could help this project for presentation, local investigation and selecting information.
The micro-urbanist is an architect or urban designer who uses the strategy of micro-urbanism to deal with a complexity of the modern city. Micro: means a small and tiny thing. The definition of ‘micro’ in the project can mean that a small spaces; urban details; the ‘in-between’; user based occupation; and the informal or everyday context of the city, becomes the focus of strategic urban ideas. This is contrasted with the urban design or ‘macro’ where large scale and generic ideas predominate.

Models of Bridges
For this project, I am going to design an alternative idea - another route - between both of station – a route which is intensely local. As a different strategy it will allow the traveller and passengers to enjoy a view of streets in Somers town. Being a micro urbanist, I am going to engage with local urban facilities as a way of understanding the urban context. I will explore and redraw an object which might be able to become a space or element of the final design.
